Adding and Importing Members
Rubric makes it simple to add members to your club — whether online, in person, or by importing an existing list.
Before you start:
To sell memberships or import members, you must first create membership types in the portal. See our Set Up Membership Types article for detailed instructions.
Issue Memberships Online
Share your Link-in-bio on your website, social media, or other platforms. This link displays all your memberships, events, merchandise, and more for simple sign-ups and purchases.
Paid memberships: Students can pay online using a credit or debit card.
Free memberships: Students can join without entering payment details.
Note: If your club has successfully completed affiliation, your Link-in-Bio profile should also appear on your student union’s website.
Issue Cash Memberships
For in-person sales or manual membership additions:
Go to the Memberships tab and select Sell Cash Memberships from the left menu.
Record transactions using:
Cash
Card (EFTPOS)
Rubric Payment: This option sends a payment link to the student’s device (valid for 24 hours) to complete their sign-up.

Importing an Existing Membership List
If you’re moving from another system or already have a member list, you can use the Import Memberships feature.
Select a membership type: Members will be grouped under the membership type you’ve selected.
Download the CSV template: Click Download Template, then fill in your member details. Using the template helps avoid errors.
Upload your member list: Once your CSV file is ready, upload it and click Continue to Matching.
Review your list: Check the members you’re about to import. Duplicate email addresses are automatically removed.
Finalise the import: When ready, click Review Import to complete the process.
