Compliance tags

The Compliance module maintains a set of club tags automatically, so that compliance standing can be used anywhere tags work on the platform — most importantly, email targeting. If you've spotted a tag like "AGM Minutes - Non Compliant" in a tag picker and wondered where it came from, this is it.

The tags

For each compliance item, a mutually exclusive pair:

• "Item name - Compliant" — the club has met this requirement.
• "Item name - Non Compliant" — the club has not (nothing counted this year, or every submission was rejected).

Plus one whole-club pair per campus:

• "Compliance - Compliant" — every requirement currently due is met.
• "Compliance - Non Compliant" — at least one requirement is not met.

A club never wears both halves of a pair — and it can wear neither:

• Pending clubs (a submission awaiting your review, or partial training progress) carry neither tag. They're waiting on process, not ignoring you, so email targeting never chases them.
• Items whose window hasn't opened yet apply neither tag — nothing is due, so nothing is tagged.

How they update

The tags are synced automatically from the same live statuses the compliance table shows, roughly once an hour. You never apply or remove them yourself — a club that submits its form loses the Non Compliant tag on the next sync, with no action from anyone.

The moment a club becomes non-compliant is recorded by the tag — that's what powers the timed reminder emails ("non-compliant for 3 days / 1 week / 2 weeks"). Managed for you

Because the tags mirror live data, they're locked against manual changes:

• They can't be deleted or renamed in tag management — and anything changed by other means is corrected on the next sync.
• Renaming a compliance item renames its pair automatically, so the tags always match your item names.
• Archiving an item retires its pair and removes it from every club.
• New items grow their pair on the first sync after they're created — nothing to set up.

Where you'll see them

• Email targeting — the compliance recipient categories list these tags in their dropdown.
• Tag pickers and filters across the portal, wherever club tags appear.

Treat them as read-only signals: to change what a club is tagged with, change the club's actual compliance — approve their submission, have their execs complete the training, or have them fix their team. See Understanding compliance statuses for exactly what flips each status.
